The history of Doga — yoga with your dog

How a private yoga lesson in New York City became Doga.

What the talk is about

In 2001, while training as a yoga teacher in New York City, Suzi taught private yoga to composer and director Liz Swados. Liz's three dogs and Suzi's cocker spaniel Coali kept joining them on the mat. Suzi named the practice Doga. This talk tells that story — where the practice began, what it grew into, and what the dogs brought to it.

What an audience takes away

  • Where Doga began, and why
  • What the practice is
  • What changed when the dogs got on the mat
